Milena Bartlová

Milena Bartlová is a Czech art historian, a specialist in medieval art and culture, the methodology of art history, and museum and visual studies. She is a professor in the Department of Art Theory and History at the Prague University of Applied Arts. She has contributed to the collection of essays Krize, nebo konec kapitalismu? [Crisis or the End of Capitalism?] (ed. Jiří Pehe) and published the monograph Skutečná přítomnost: středověký obraz mezi ikonou a virtuální realitou [Real Presence: Between Iconographic Representation and Virtual Reality in Medieval Painting]. Her latest book, Obrazy a události [Images and Events], features a selection of essays written for the Artalk.cz website where she is a regular contributor.
