Jindřich Šídlo is a Czech journalist, who has spent most of the last decade working for the weekly magazine, Respekt. From 2001-2005, he was also the editor of the newspaper MF Dnes, while between 2005 and 2009 he served as the managing editor of the economics newspaper, Hospodářské noviny. Since May 2009, he has also been a chief political analyst on the Czech national television provider ČT [Česká televize] and in 2007 his journalistic work in the field of human rights brought him recognition in the form of the Cena Ferdinanda Peroutky prize.
