Jan Runge

Jan Runge became UNIC’s new CEO in 2011, overseeing the organisation’s relocation from Paris to Brussels. He had previously worked for two leading media industry consultancies in London and Brussels and had advised both the European Parliament and the European Commission on their future strategies to promote the European film sector. Jan has gained experience as a researcher and EU development manager with a German innovation agency and a large telecommunications operator and he also represents UNIC on the advisory board of the European Audiovisual Observatory. In addition to this, he sits on the board of the European Digital Cinema Forum and is actively involved in several European Commission expert groups. Jan holds a BA from Liverpool John Moores University and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
