Francesca Unsworth is the director of the BBC World Service Group and the deputy director of BBC News and Current Affairs. She leads a team of more than 1,300 employees in 116 countries, reaching a global audience of 320 million each week. Francesca also chairs the BBC’s international development charity, BBC Media Action. She is the first female director in the 85 year history of the World Service.
