Dr Anna Krasteva is an associate professor of political sciences at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia.
She is also a research fellow of CERMES [Centre for Refugees, Migration and Ethnic Studies] and the editor-in-chief of the journal, Southeastern Europe.
Following her initial studies in Sofia, Anna then undertook postgraduate research in France, Germany and Canada before returning to her native Bulgaria. She is interested in immigration, the status of refugees, ethnicity, citizenship and related political discourse.
Anna has published more than a hundred papers and academic articles, one book which she edited herself and 14 others for which she was a co-editor.
