Matthew Goodwin is an associate professor in politics at the University of Nottingham and an associate fellow at the Chatham House think tank. He is a leading authority on right-wing extremism and his research interests include elections, voting behaviour and research methodology.
Matthew is the author of numerous studies and books on the extreme right and has conducted extensive qualitative and quantitative research on a variety of topics. He currently sits on the government working group on anti-Islamic prejudice, and has undertaken research for the UK Home Office, the Council of Europe, the Department for Communities and Local Government, the Welsh Government and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Matthew is a co-founder of the Extremis Project.
