Marius de Geus is a political philosophy lecturer at the University of Leiden, who primarily focuses upon organisational and environmental philosophy and carries out research in issues surrounding the environment and the state. His publications include Politiek, milieu en vrijheid [Politics, the Environment and Freedom] (1993), Ecologische utopieën [Ecological Utopias] (1996), The End of Over-Consumption (2003) en Filosofie van de eenvoud [A Philosophy of Simplicity] (2015).
