Hendrik Hagedorn lectures in economics at Berlin’s BiTS University. Before leaving to work at BiTS, he used to be a research assistant at the German Institute for Economic Research [DIW], where he was primarily responsible for macroeconomic business cycle analyses. As well as being a doctor of economics, Hendrik Hagedorn is a certified physicist, possesses a Master‘s degree in the economics of financial research (MPhil) and is a former student of the DIW’s Berlin-based Graduate Centre. His doctoral dissertation was written at the University of Münster on the theme of modelling within the Austrian School of economics and he has published on this topic, with a book entitled A Model of Austrian Economics (Springer Gabler, 2015).
